HOW DOES IT WORK?

Sign up for only $11 per month or sign-up for an annual or quarterly plan and get even more savings! You will receive weekly e-mails with a link to your customizable meal plan including slow cooker main dishes and simple to prepare side dishes. Also included will be instructions to help you organize and prep all the meals at once when it’s convenient for you and place them in large freezer bags to use throughout the week. You will also have access to our entire database of recipes as well as menus for entertaining, ways to use up leftovers, the ability to save your favorite recipes, and so much more!

DO I HAVE TO MAKE ALL OF THE MEALS?

Not at all! You can choose as few or as many of the meals as you like. The instructions and shopping list will be adjusted based on your selections. No work is needed on your part trying to figure out what to leave off the list or how to adjust the instructions. It’s all done for you!

HOW MANY SERVINGS DO THESE MEALS MAKE?

Currently the meals are designed to serve a family of about 4-6 people. For larger appetites you could also choose to serve extra sides. If cooking for 1 or 2 you can divide the recipes by placing the meal into two freezer bags while preparing and cut your workload in half by having a meal ready to go for next month.

WHAT IF I MAKE ALL THE MEALS AND THEN CAN’T EAT THEM? I DON’T WANT TO WASTE!!

No worries! Most meals are prepped and ready for the freezer. If you won’t be able to eat within 2-3 days you can just place it in the freezer and then thaw and add to the slow cooker when you are ready for it! Most meals should keep for 2-3 months in the freezer.

DO I HAVE TO PRINT ALL OF THE INSTRUCTIONS/SHOPPING LIST/RECIPES?

Not if you don’t want to! You can access all of the features not only from your desktop or laptop but also from your mobile device such as your iPad or phone! Make sure to log-in from your phone and always have easy access to all of your recipes and shopping lists on the go.

AM I UNDER CONTRACT? HOW DO I CANCEL?

It depends. Want to take a break or just not using the service like you had planned? No worries! We understand. If you signed up for the month to month service, you can cancel anytime. Just log into your account and select cancel my account. You will still have access until the end of your current billing cycle and you can come back and sign-up again anytime. If you prepaid for a yearly plan and received the discount we can not offer any refunds but you can cancel at the end of your year.

WHAT BASIC SUPPLIES WILL I NEED?

If you would like to do the prep work ahead of time each week then you will need to have gallon size plastic freezer bags to store the food until cook day along with a permanent marker for identifying the contents (you will be surprised how hard it can be to figure out once frozen!!) Other great things to have on hand are non-stick cooking spray and containers for storing any leftovers. A full list of recommended products is available within the meal plan content.

WILL I SAVE MONEY?

It’s hard to say for sure, but most likely! We don’t provide specific meal pricing because the cost for food varies widely around the country and even from store to store within the same city. But the simple fact that you are planning ahead and have a specific use for each of your ingredients and the ability to freeze meals you haven’t prepared yet means you will most likely have much less food waste. Not to mention all of the time you will save!

WHY DON’T YOU PROVIDE NUTRITION INFORMATION?

At this time I don’t include any nutrition information but I am looking into that possibility in the future. Providing accurate nutrition information can be very tricky not to mention very expensive. Final nutritional values can vary greatly depending on specific brands of ingredients used. If you would like to get an estimate of nutritional value there are a lot of great online calculators that allow you to plug in ingredients and amounts, but please remember those are just estimates and are not always completely accurate.

DO I NEED TO THAW ANY MEALS FROM THE FREEZER BEFORE ADDING TO THE SLOW COOKER?

Yes. All meals should be thawed (unless otherwise indicated) before adding to the slow cooker. This is best practice for food safety reasons and will allow the cooking times to be consistent no matter if the foods have been previously frozen or are cooked from fresh. You will need to thaw them in the refrigerator at least overnight but more likely for 24-48 hours prior to cooking.

WHAT KIND/SIZE OF SLOW COOKER DO I NEED?

The recipes are tested using mainly a 4 quart slow cooker. This is the size that typically feeds a family of four but most likely you can also use one that is slightly smaller or larger. As far as what kind? That’s totally up to you!! There are so many options available, from those with many bells and whistles, to the very basic. If you will be away from home while your food is cooking, I highly recommend having a programmable slow cooker that will switch to keep warm at the end of the cooking time so that your food will not end up overcooked.

DO I HAVE TO PREP THE MEALS AHEAD OF TIME AND STORE IN FREEZER BAGS?

Nope!! I write the recipes this way because I truly believe we will all have the best success with meal planning by preparing ahead of time. But you should do whatever works the best for you! Simply follow along the steps and just omit any that involve loading up the freezer bags and instead just add items to your slow cooker.
