Air Fryer Salmon Patties

One of my favorites for a quick and easy lunch or dinner is salmon patties! This recipe uses canned salmon and only 5 other ingredients for a quick and healthy meal you can make in 10 minutes using your air fryer!

Keeping canned salmon on hand is a great way to make sure that you can get a nutritious meal on the table when you can’t get to the grocery store for fresh ingredients. 
 
Salmon is packed with nutritional benefits like Omega-3 fatty acids and B vitamins which are an important part of a Heart Smart diet.  Salmon also is beneficial in weight management and control. USDA studies have shown that canned salmon has nearly the same nutrient content as fresh.  In fact, one study showed increased levels of Omega-3 fatty acids in the canned version. 
 
Making salmon patties in the air fryer means not having to fry them in oil.  That means these patties are not only healthier but there’s much less mess to clean up.
 
I made these gluten-free by using almond flour instead of regular flour. I prefer them this way but you could try subbing regular flour if that is what you have on hand.
 

Ingredients You’ll Need To Make Salmon Patties:

  • canned salmon
  • almond flour
  • egg
  • mayo
  • all purpose seasoning
  • dried dill

How To Make Salmon Patties:

  1. Drain salmon and add to a small bowl
  2. Break apart with a fork and add remaining ingredients
  3. Use a fork or your hands to combine well
  4. Form into 6 equal size round patties about 1/2 inch thick
  5. Spray each side with avocado oil and add to air fryer basket
  6. Cook at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes until cooked through, flipping once

Pro Tips:

Try using my favorite all purpose seasoning in the salmon patties.

  • 2 cans salmon
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons mayo
  • 1 teaspoon all purpose seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill

Instructions

  • Drain salmon and add to a small bowl
  • Break apart with a fork and add remaining ingredients
  • Use a fork or your hands to combine well

Notes

  • Use wheat flour if almond flour is unavailable
  • Top with pineapple salsa or tartar sauce
