Why do people love waffle fries?

Waffle fries’ reputation has improved in recent years, in large part to the way they’re served at a popular chicken restaurant chain. But, there’s no need to haul the family out to a restaurant for these crispy treats. Instead, you can make waffle fries in the comfort of your kitchen using an air fryer and a few ingredients that you probably already have on hand.

Now, making waffle fries from scratch can be a chore if you’re not used to the method needed to cut their distinct pattern. So, I’ve taken some of the “work” out of making waffle fries by using frozen fries that can easily be found in most grocery stores.

Ingredients

Why should I use frozen waffle fries? Frozen waffle fries are easy to find at most every grocery store. Read the ingredients on the bag to ensure you are getting the best product with the least amount of additives possible.

How do I season my waffle fries? I like to add some complexity to fried foods–more than what plain salt will give them. Why not give my Cajun Seasoning Blend a try.

Preparation

Why should I make waffle fries in an air fryer? Waffle fries are the perfect potato for the air fryer. Waffle fries cook up SO crispy and it only takes 10-12 minutes to make a tasty snack, appetizer, or side. Plus, there’s no need to heat up the house by using the oven on a hot day to enjoy some fries!

How do I make my waffle fries tastier? Simply add some avocado oil spray and my homemade Cajun Seasoning Blend to make them extra tasty. Who doesn’t love seasoned fries?

Serving Suggestions

What should I serve with waffle fries? Waffle fries are the perfect compliment to any burger or sandwich. Serve some up with condiments like ketchup, mustard, or a spicy ranch dipping sauce. I like to make up a batch of my Cajun Dipping Sauce and offer it to guests.
