Making rice in the Instant Pot is a fool-proof way to get perfectly cooked rice every time. There’s no need to use a separate rice cooker.  Plus, you don’t have to hassle with boiling water!

Basmati rice has a nutty flavor, like jasmine rice, but it’s softer when cooked.  It has the lowest glycemic index of all the rices, which means that it helps keep blood sugar stable.  It’s a great option for diabetics and it’s also gluten-free.

Basmati rice is typically served with Indian-inspired dishes but it works with all kinds of cuisines. Try making up a pot and serving it with Meal Prep Carnitas Bowls, Instant Pot Tikka Masala, or Instant Pot Butter Chicken.
