I think these should come with a warning label… seriously tasty and seriously addictive!  But that okay, right?  ‘Tis the season for a little treat here and there!  And I would highly recommend you make these right away for your next office party, pot-luck or holiday event.  Because people will love them and you will be a hit!

A simple butter cookie style dough that uses a special secret ingredient…. sweetened condensed milk!  This gives you the sugar without the graininess and makes them taste super rich while somehow managing to remain light and fluffy.

Ingredients

    Cookies:
  • 2 sticks butter, softened
  • 1/2 (14oz) can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • Frosting:
  • 3 ounces white chocolate bar
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract

Instructions

    Cookies:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. In a large mixing bowl with handheld mixer beat softened butter for 2 minutes
  3. Add condensed milk, baking powder, salt and vanilla and beat until smooth
  4. Slowly add flour while mixing at medium speed until fully incorporated
  5. Using a spoon mix in white chocolate chips by hand
  6. Add sprinkles and stir just enough to mix but don't over mix as they will bleed into batter
  7. Press into foil lined 8x8 baking dish
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until edges are just lightly browned and middle appears set
  9. Let cool completely (for a few hours at least) then frost
  10. Frosting:
  11. Melt chocolate in microwave for 30 seconds at a time, stirring in-between, until smooth and let cool
  12. Beat butter in large bowl for 2 minutes until smooth
  13. Beat in cooled melted chocolate for another minute
  14. Slowly beat in powdered sugar, vanilla and peppermint and continue to beat at medium high speed for 2 minutes or until light and fluffy
