Simple Grilled Salmon

There are so many delicious grilled salmon recipe out there, but have you ever wondered about the basics of how to make salmon on the grill?  This simple tutorial will teach you how to grill salmon so that you can get a healthy simple meal on the table with little effort!

Ingredients

  • 24 oz sockeye salmon 4 fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons seasoning blend

Instructions

  • Preheat grill to medium high heat (350-400 degrees)
  • Brush non-skin side of salmon with olive oil and sprinkle with seasoning
  • Place salmon skin side down on grill and cook until it reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees F
  • If desired, flip to flesh side for 1-2 minutes to create grill marks
  • Remove and let rest 5-10 minutes before serving

Notes

  • no need to remove the skin before cooking - it will come off easily after cooking
  • use any favorite seasoning blend flavor you like - anything from herb and garlic to citrus based is great
  • using a meat thermometer is the best way to monitor for doneness
  • use any type of salmon you prefer, I like sockeye for texture and flavor
