Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 4 tablespoons very cold salted butter
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 325 ℉
  • Mix together dry ingredients for biscuits
  • Cut 3 tablespoons of butter into tiny pieces and then work them into dry ingredients using a fork until evenly combined
  • Add milk and combine into a dough
  • If dough is still really sticky, add flour (1 tablespoon at a time) until you can touch dough without it sticking to your fingers
  • Place dough on a floured surface and roll it out to about 1/2 inch thick
  • Use biscuit cutter to cut dough into 4-5 individual biscuits (I used a juice glass)
  • Spray bottom of air fryer basket with nonstick spray
  • Add biscuits and cook for 6-8 minutes until they just turn golden on top
  • Melt remaining 1 tablespoon of butter
  • Top biscuits with melted butter
  • Continue cooking for 3-5 more minutes until lightly browned and cooked through

Notes

  • Refrigerate leftover biscuits for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • Freeze on parchment paper, then transfer to a freezer-safe bag.
  • Reheat biscuits in the air fryer from the fridge or frozen at 300℉ until warmed through.
  • Make sure the biscuits have space between them in the air fryer so that they brown evenly.
