For the Brussels Sprouts

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts trimmed and halved
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
  • ½ tsp salt to taste
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

For the Maple Sriracha Glaze

  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp sriracha adjust to heat preference
  • 1 tsp soy sauce or tamari/coconut aminos for gluten-free

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 380 ℉ and prepare sprouts
  • Toss halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper
  • Arrange in air fryer basket in a single layer, and work in batches if needed
  • Air-fry for 7-10 minutes, shaking halfway through, until sprouts are very crispy and browned on the edges and tender in the center when pierced with a fork
  • Meanwhile, whisk together maple syrup, sriracha, and soy sauce in small bowl
  • When Brussels sprouts are done, toss them immediately with glaze until coated

Notes

  • Store leftover sprouts in an airtight container in the fridge for 2–3 days (freezing isn’t recommended since they’ll get mushy).
  • Reheat in the air fryer at 350 ℉ for 3-4 minutes to restore crispiness.
  • Use medium-sized sprouts for more even cooking.
  • After washing, dry the sprouts thoroughly to prevent sogginess.
  • Halving the sprouts produces crispier edges.
  • Shake the basket halfway through cooking for even browning.
  • Serve immediately after tossing with the glaze to maintain the crispy texture.
