You never knew how easy it was to make Fried Rice at home! This take-out comfort food can be made in minutes if you use your Instant Pot.

With my recipe for Instant Pot Fried Rice, you control the ingredients. This recipe is simple to make and there are no additives or MSG.

Using avocado oil makes this Fried Rice recipe healthier than its counterparts.

Ingredients Need To Make Instant Pot Fried Rice…

  • jasmine rice
  • water
  • avocado oil
  • frozen peas and carrots
  • small yellow onion
  • lightly beaten
  • soy sauce (or tamari)
  • fish sauce
  • sesame oil
  • green onions and sesame seeds for garnish, optional

How To Make Fried Rice In An Instant Pot…

  1. Rinse rice until water runs clear and drain well
  2. Add to Instant Pot along with 1 3/4 cups water
  3. Cover and set valve to sealSet to high pressure for 4 minutes
  4. Once cooking has completed allow 10 minutes for natural pressure release
  5. After 10 minutes have passed, turn the valve to release remaining pressure
  6. Push rice to one side of pot or remove and set aside and turn pot to saute
  7. Add oil and once heated add veggies and onion
  8. Saute for 3-4 minutes and push to side with rice
  9. Add eggs and cook while stirring for 1-2 minutes Stir everything together and saute for 2-3 minutes more, add additional oil if needed
  10. Stir in soy sauce, fish sauce and sesame oil and cook while continuing to stir until headed through

Pro Tips…

You can add other cooked proteins to make Instant Pot Fried Rice a complete meal. Leftover chicken or shredded beef would make a good addition.

Add more veggies to your Instant Pot Fried Rice if desired.

The addition of fish sauce to Instant Pot Fried Rice makes this dish even more delicious. Just adjust the amount to your liking.

  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots thawed
  • 1 small yellow onion diced
  • 2 eggs lightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • green onions and sesame seeds for garnish optional

Instructions
