Air Fryer Scallops
Think scallops are tricky to make? Not any more! These Air Fryer Scallops are fool proof! Plus, they’re wrapped in bacon. What could be better?
Many people are unaware of this heart-healthy seafood. Adding scallops to your diet has many benefits. They contain a favorable amount of Omega-3 fatty acids, which means they help regulate cholesterol. Their high magnesium content helps ensure proper circulation and low blood pressure.
Air Fryer Scallops are a quick and easy solution to the problem of adding more protein to your diet. This recipe calls for only a few ingredient, yet it’s packed with flavor.
Making scallops in the air fryer is so simple! Scallops can easily be overcooked. This cooking method helps to prevent that.
Ingredients You’ll Need To Make Scallops In An Air Fryer…
- frozen scallops
- precooked center cut bacon
- olive oil
- seafood or cajun seasoning
How To Make Scallops In An Air Fryer…
- Wrap one piece of bacon around edges of scallops securing with toothpick
- Brush both sides with oil and sprinkle with seasoning
- Place in air fryer basket in single layer
- Cook at 400 degrees for 4 minutes, flip and continue cooking until cooked through until tender and opaque (about another 4 minutes)
Pro Tips:
While frozen scallops are easier to find (especially if you don’t live near the coast), you can also use fresh scallops.
Notice that the recipe calls for pre-cooked bacon. Using that variety ensures that your bacon is crisp and perfect and not soggy, since the scallops cook so quickly.
Feel free to use different seasonings depending on the flavor of your meal. I used my Cajun Seasoning for some spice, but a basic seafood seasoning (Old Bay or herb and garlic) would still yield delicious results.

- 2 teaspoons seafood or cajun seasoning
Instructions
- Wrap one piece of bacon around edges of scallops securing with toothpick

Notes
-
using pre-cooked bacon is necessary so that it cooks at the proper rate with the scallops

I used cajun seasoning but you could use a seafood seasoning like old bay as well
- use a meat thermometer to check the temp of the cooked scallops to ensure they don't overcook (aim for 140-150 degrees F).
