Lemon Vinaigrette Dressing
Homemade dressings are always better! This simple lemon vinaigrette dressing takes only 5 minutes and 5 ingredients that you probably already have on hand for a creamy tasty dressing perfect on salads and more.
Recipe Highlights
Instead of bottles of dressing with questionable ingredients, or buying expensive dressings that are supposed to be healthy but taste terrible, how about whipping up your own quick and easy dressings at home?
Friends are often surprised that I make my own dressings, many don’t realize it’s actually really easy and takes only a few minutes. And generally they are made with ingredients we already have on hand.
I made this Lemon Vinaigrette Dressing using only bottled ingredients that I had on hand. It’s perfect for everything from simple green salads, to pasta salads, to your favorite meal bowls.
Ingredient Notes
- Use a high quality extra virgin olive oil when making salad dressings for best results
- You can use fresh lemon or bottled lemon juice
- I like to keep the big bottles of lemon and lime juice from Sprouts on hand rather than having fresh produce go bad
-
Feel free to swap out the mustard to change up the dressing.
Preparation Notes
-
Feel free to make the dressing up to 3 days in advance
-
The dijon mustard will create a creamier dressing.
-
For a tangier dressing swap out for regular mustard
-
Grainy mustard is also a delicious option
