Once you try these Air Fryer Fried Shrimp, you’ll never go back to deep fried again! This healthier version is easy, uses only a small amount of oil, and can easily be made gluten-free!

Air Fryer Fried Shrimp makes a yummy dinner or a tasty game day appetizer.
 
Making Fried Shrimp in an air fryer is simple and healthy.  There are no messy, unhealthy oils to deal with.  The breading is easy to make. 
 
With only using very few ingredients, you will have a delicious meal on the table in less than 30 minutes!

Ingredients You’ll Need To Make Fried Shrimp In An Air Fryer:

  • deveined shrimp (thawed if frozen)
  • flour (gluten free if desired)
  • all-purpose seasoning
  • eggs
  • panko breadcrumbs (gluten free if desired)
  • Avocado oil spray

How To Make Fried Shrimp In An Air Fryer…

  1. Pat shrimp dry with paper towel
  2. Prepare 3 shallow bowls, one with flour and seasoning whisked together, one with eggs whisked together (add water if needed) and one with breadcrumbs
  3. Place each shrimp one at a time in flour (shake to remove excess), then coat in egg mixture, then with panko, using hands as needed to coat
  4. Spray air fryer basket with avocado oil spray
  5. Add shrimp in a single layer not touching
  6. Spray tops with avocado oil
  7. Air fry at 380 degrees for 3-4 mints, flip and cook another 3-4 minutes

Pro Tips:

Before cooking, ensure that your shrimp are fully thawed.
 
By using tail off shrimp, you can make popcorn shrimp instead!
 
Make sure to use enough avocado oil spray to coat the shrimp well but not saturate them.
 
Serve Air Fryer Fried Shrimp with Yum Yum Sauce.
