How do you make a healthy spinach smoothie taste better? Mango of course!! This Mango Spinach Smoothie is one of my go to recipes for a healthy and satisfying breakfast.Mango Spinach Smoothie in glass mason jar with colorful napkin and metal straw

A few weeks ago I ran a survey on my Instagram stories and was almost unanimous! You guys all really wanted me to share how I make my Mango Spinach Smoothie! I’m super excited to share this, because I drink it for breakfast several times a week.  I love smoothies so much and I’ve found by adding just the right ingredients, they can turn into a really filling, satisfying meal.  When I start my day of with a nutrition packed smoothie, I feel like I can tackle just about anything.

I’ve been making smoothies for breakfast for years, but after reading Body Love by Kelly LeVeque recently, I decided to make a few changes.  I realized one of the reasons my smoothies weren’t keeping me full until lunch time was that they needed more healthy fats and fiber.  I’ve been testing out different options and I finally came up with a few that will be on my regular rotation.

ingredients for healthy mango spinach smoothie including protein powder, fiber, coconut oil and flaxseed

I’ve been using Orgain Protein Powders for years, so there was really no need to switch things up there.  But, it did learn I needed to add more fats and fiber in order to make my smoothie a more complete and satisfying meal.

What do you put in a mango smoothie?

In this case, we are going to add some amazing ingredients that take it to the next level…

  • Frozen mango
  • Fresh Spinach
  • Orgain Organic Protein (I just use one scoop)
  • Vital Proteins Collagen (I use either beef or marine)
  • Frozen Avocado
  • Ground Flaxseed
  • Acacia Fiber
  • Coconut oil

Does spinach taste good in smoothies?

It might take just a bit of getting used to, but adding veggies like spinach to smoothies is a great way to get extra nutrition and with the combo of the mango, I say it tastes great!

In fact, I don’t mind sitting here enjoying sipping on my smoothie while my kids devour their egg bites!
