What you need in your life most right now is a simple healthy side dish that will go with a number of dishes and can be made ahead for a quick and easy dinner! This creamy coleslaw uses only 4 ingredients and tastes delicious!

Coleslaw is a healthy and easy-to-make side dish that can be made up to 2 days in advance.  Just store it in the fridge in an airtight container.  It’s great for meal prep!
 
Cabbage, the main ingredient in most coleslaw recipes, has several health benefits that many people are unaware of.  Cabbage has a high fiber content which makes you feel full when eating it.  It’s also good for your heart and helps regulate blood sugar.  Studies have also shown that it aids in digestion by providing nutrients that keep your digestive tract strong.  
 
Creamy Coleslaw is full of veggie goodness and goes well with barbeque, buffalo chicken, and a number of other dishes.

Ingredients You’ll Need To Make Creamy Coleslaw:

  • 8 oz chopped cabbage
  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
Avocado oil mayo is a healthy alternative to regular mayo.  
Substitute sugar for honey if needed, but reduce the amount of it to taste (start with 1 teaspoon).

How To Make Creamy Coleslaw…

  1. Add all ingredients to bowl and toss to combine well 
  2. Cover tightly and store in fridge for at least 30 minutes until ready to serve

Use prepackaged shredded cabbage to save time.

Pro Tips:

You can save calories by substituting avocado oil mayo for regular mayo.  Avocado mayo has half of the calories of its counterpart and no cholesterol.  
 
If you don’t have any honey on hand, you can use sugar.  To substitute sugar for honey reduce the amount to taste (start with 1 teaspoon).
