Making any kind of mashed potatoes in the Instant Pot is a genius kitchen hack. They are so easy to prepare and you don’t have the hassle of watching water boil on the stove.

When you use an Instant Pot to make mashed potatoes, the cooking time is always predictable and consistent.  There’s very little (if any!) room for error.

Instant Pot Mashed Sweet Potatoes are a versatile side dish that’s capable of turning any meal from OK to amazing!  Plush, they’re easy enough to make for a weeknight meal!

Sweet Potatoes have so many health benefits.  They’re considered a superfood because of their high fiber and nutrient content.  Not only are they one of the tastiest sources of antioxidants around, but they support your immune system and encourage proper gut health.

Pro Tips…

Are you serving someone with food sensitivities?  These sweet potatoes are easy to make dairy free.  Just swap regular butter for your favorite dairy free variety.  (I like Miyoko’s brand dairy free butter.)

You can leave out the herb and garlic seasoning if you prefer a less savory mashed sweet potato.  Simply start with a small amount of salt and add more until desired taste is achieved.
