Ingredients Needed
- Leftover buffalo chicken – Shredded buffalo chicken is full of slightly spicy flavor and works in many different meals! Use leftover Instant Pot Buffalo Chicken and warm it slightly in the microwave or on the stovetop before adding to the wraps for the best texture.
- Flour tortillas – Use large (burrito-sized) flour tortillas or your wrap of choice. These can also be gluten-free wraps, but warm them slightly first to be sure they don’t break during assembly.
- Shredded romaine lettuce – Buy pre-shredded romaine, or slice super-thin ribbons from a head of lettuce. Romaine adds a slight flavor and a light crunch.
- Chopped celery – Celery is a classic pairing with buffalo-sauce flavor! Finely chop the celery for the best texture inside the wrap.
- Diced tomatoes – Diced tomatoes create a bright, juicy filling.
- Shredded sharp cheddar cheese – Sharp, tangy cheese brings a nice balance to the spicy chicken.
- Ranch or blue cheese dressing – Either dressing option complements the buffalo flavors. A drizzle of dressing is the creamy element that brings the wrap filling all together.
- French fried onions – Check your grocery store’s salad or canned veggie aisle for these crispy additions for texture and flavor. If you need, look for a gluten-free store-bought version too.

Recipe Substitutions and Variations

- Other tasty protein substitutes are grilled chicken or sliced Crispy Air Fryer Chicken Cutlets.
- Try different cheeses by swapping cheddar for mozzarella, pepper jack, or blue cheese crumbles.
- Use blue cheese dressing, regular ranch, my Easy Dairy Free Ranch Recipe, or a drizzle of extra buffalo sauce.
- Other fresh veggie options are sliced cucumbers, avocado, or shredded carrots.
- Adjust heat by adding sliced jalapeños, using a spicier buffalo sauce, or mixing hot sauce into ranch or blue cheese dressing.
- For a fun alternative, make a buffalo chicken salad with all the same ingredients over chopped lettuce instead of in a wrap.
